Engine exhaust emissions during real
driving conditions
The term Real Driving Emissions (RDE) describes the "real-life" emissions output from cars in everyday usage. RDE does not replace the WLTP laboratory test, but complements it and will ensure that cars produce lower emissions also under on-road conditions.

- Year-round temperatures
- Wide speed range (low-speed on urban roads up to high-speed on motorways)
- High transient phases ( e.g. tip-in)
