LaVision’s Imager camera family offers the widest range of PIV models in the market. No matter if highest priority is on spatial resolution, frame rate, sensitivity, inter-frame time or price there is always a best solution in our portfolio of state-of-the-art PIV cameras for your application.
The unique Imager CX3p camera series from LaVision, is equipped with an integrated Scheimpflug mount for adjusting the angle between camera and lens (Scheimpflug angle) for C-mount and F-mount lenses. This ensures quick and easy alignment of the viewing direction, Scheimpflug angle and sensor orientation. The integrated Scheimpflug mount offers three independent setting options for tilt, rotation and sensor orientation. All settings are supported by an intuitive DaVis software tool resulting in very quick and easy Scheimpflug adjustment.
Like the CX1 camera family the Imager CX3 camera series combine high sensor resolution with excellent image quality. Due to latest sensor technology and modern CoaxPress-12 interface highest frame rates between 100 and 240 Hz can be reached depending on the camera model. Short interframe times in the sub-microsecond range for double frame technique are still possible making the cameras usable also for high velocity PIV experiments. Models from 5 MP up to 25 MP are available enabling high resolution measurements.
The Imager CX1 camera family is a high sensitivity, high resolution digital camera series equipped with new generation backside illuminated CMOS sensors with excellent image quality and low readout noise. The camera delivers true 8 and 12 bit digital images and comes with a modern CoaXPress-12 interface for distances up to 20 m. Models from 5 MP to 25 MP with high frame rates between 30 – 120 Hz are available. Short interframe times in the sub-microsecond range for double frame technique make them usable for PIV applications with highest flow velocities.
Imager sCMOS camera contains a new generation of scientific CMOS (sCMOS) sensor and combines the advantages of modern CCD and CMOS sensor technologies resulting in an unsurpassed image quality and system performance. The high resolution 5.5 million pixel Imager sCMOS camera with extremely low readout noise and high frame rates of 50 Hz at full resolution offers excellent PIV performance for flow field imaging. The modern CameraLink HS interface enables high and safe data throughput over long distances.
Imager MX cameras are compact high sensitive CMOS cameras with up to 50 million pixel resolution and frame rates up to 150 frames/s at full spatial resolution covering the mid-speed range ideal for applications in water or other fluids.
The Photron and Phantom CMOS sensors yield frame rates up to several kHz at highest spatial resolution. Like all other cameras LaVision’s high-speed cameras are fully integrated in our DaVis software and are ready for use in time-resolved PIV applications with double frame exposure and interframe times in the µs range.
